Killer weekend dudes! We decided not to go to Toronto this weekend, it would be better just to stay at home for once and relax, which is exactly what I did. I slept in until noon or one each day, finally a recharge. Friday night we watched Paycheck and then made our way down to Amber's in the evening. There were a lot of people there I had never met before so it was a good night. Saturday we went down for some beach volleyball by the lake but the court was busy, first time that's happened. I would have been too distracted to play anyway. There were a couple of guys kite-boarding out in the water. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically a guy on a wakeboard tied to a kite way up on the air. And these guys were flying, literally. They zip along the water and then cut out a bit on the board so that the kite lifts them out of the water. I so want to try this. Windsurfing or kite-boarding...or both?

Saturday night we all went to AJ's, even Chris. This time we just played pool up top instead of looking silly on the dance floor. I think the girls were out there for most of the time. Every once in a while they'd come back to the table to tell us how pool is stupid and to come out and dance. Their charms just didn't have any effect that night. Good night though, I was in bed around 4 am.

Sunday was the best day I think. I went to Costco to pick up the last of my pictures from the Montreal/Quebec City trip and went straight from there to the volleyball court. We sure play a lot there. It was perfect weather, sunny and blue, only a slight breeze. I worked on my tan a bit more, I hope I become less blinding each time. We played for 2 or 3 hours before heading home for a barbecue. Amber and her friends from Friday night came by too. It was a nice meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, and yukaflux (sp?). We threw cherries and pieces of watermelon in a bowl of vodka and lemonade to soak for a bit. There wasn't much alcohol in there, but enough to enjoy. We'll try it again next time we barbecue, with some different fruit too. I'm thinking pineapple would be good, I'm not sure what else would soak up the liquid as well. Today I finished my report! Yay. So now I get to... start another report. Boo. But after that I get to... you guessed it, write another report. I have to start banking some hours for the time I'm taking off in a couple weeks. These reports should make it easy.

Calgary is ahead 2-1 in the series. Iggy RULES!

F-R-I-D-A-Y! That my favorite F-word. Kinda goes with I'm going to get the F@#% outta here. But today the weather is (not) nice, the sun is (not) out, and the air is (not) warm, but I'm happy... no not. I just been having good mornings this week. Tonight we're going to go for some beach volleyball if the sun comes out today. We also cancelled our Toronto trip. Too many in too few weekends. I'll do it in June. I can't write long though (Brendan will like this) cuz I have to head over to the plant right now. Peace y'all, have a great week.

I guess it's about time I told you about my weekend. I meant to yesterday but I was actually busy, I DO work around here...yes Amber, I do. We were thinking about not going this weekend because the forecast looked bad but it was nice on Friday afternoon so we left anyway. That night we had a barbecue in Samad's backyard and then went downtown for some fun. Samad thought it would be funny to try and lose me, even get me to smash into a divider by changing lanes at the last second...I showed him.

Saturday we ate at my favorite Montreal breakfast place, Tutti Frutti, and took a stroll down St. Catherine's street. Eric and I watched some traditional French folk dancing in a park. Never been much into tap dancing but these guys were really good, and the girls were hot. In the afternoon Samad, Nina, Eric, and I got in the car and started for Quebec City. We set up our tent and stuff at the campground first and then went downtown. We ate at a really cool restaurant called Voodoo on a patio that overlooked the street. You could sit there and watch expensive cars, dressed up girls, and hundreds of motorbikes go by. There was some motorbike convention in Quebec City, the number of cars and bikes we saw were about equal...in the whole city. There were parking lots just packed with them. Anyway, later we walked to Vieux Quebec, the old city, to the Chateau Frontenac. Very cool place, apparently the most photographed building in the world. I don't know about that, they probably just keep count and no one else in the world does so no one can dispute it. We also went along the wooden walkway up on the cliff that looks down into the St. Lawrence and listened to some very good guitar playing. Before the liquor stores closed we drove back to the campground, eventually started a fire with some very wet wood (it would steam first), and started to drink and talk. I finished off a roll of film with some creative pictures (you'll see them on the site soon).

Sunday we were up early and drove first to see the Pont du Quebec. This is the huge iron bridge that collapsed a long time ago. It's been rebuilt, and the iron rings we wear are related to this bridge. A reminder to always check our calculations to make sure they're right. Boy could I use one of those here. For lunch we went to an all you can eat buffet at Thomas Tahn. Eric amazed us all with how much food he could pack away, Jeff you would have some extreme competition. After that we drove outside the city to this huge waterfall (again, see the pictures). There was a suspension bridge that let you walk right along the edge of the falls. Down below you could take a part of the walkway to stand right in front of the falls. The mist here is so strong it feels like it's raining. We were absolutely soaked, kept the cameras dry though. We walked around the lower old city for the rest of the evening, taking pictures, watching a cruise ship pull out into the river, and looking in shops. The drive home seemed very quick and we were back in Montreal by 9:00. There we met up with Duncan, Dieta, Chris, and his friends Megan and Tammy, at St. Sulpice. It was much better than the first time I was there in January. The courtyard is opened up and hundreds of people sit back there around tables and umbrellas, talking and drinking. Such a great place. This time Eric amazed us with his beer drinking abilities, or at least for a little bit. After a fast and eventful drive home I wasn't so amazed anymore.

Monday (I love long weekends) it was raining, finally. We were beginning to lose faith in the weathermen because the first two days were absolutely beautiful and blue. So we looked for some indoor stuff to do. I dropped Duncan and Dieta off downtown and picked up Chris and Megan. At the Olympic Stadium Megan and I took a tour of the baseball field and other venues set up for the '76 Olympics while Eric and Chris walked through the Biodome. After we drove back downtown and went to the Eaton's Center while we were waiting for Duncan and Dieta (I've been there every time I've gone to Montreal). We left at 6:00 for home and made record time, getting there just after 8:00 (usually it's a 3 hour trip but the holiday traffic moves really fast). Great weekend.

Yesterday was a great day at work but last night was the best. CALGARY TOOK GAME ONE! They really needed that. I don't know if the Flames could recover from losing the first game because they'd probably lose the second game too. I hope they can actually win at home this time. Okay, it's time to start my work again today. Hope you all had a great long weekend. Leave me some comments, I want to hear about them. Especially you Terry, fill me in on the details!

Even though the weather might not be the best this weekend, we're heading to Montreal. I guess last time we went there was freezing rain and blizzards, this can't be that bad. Plus we can save that really sunny weekend to play more beach volleyball back here in Kingston. It's pretty nice out right now, a few clouds but still warm and sunny. I'm also coming to the end of a few more projects here. I came in January to just do that energy recovery project but lately I haven't been doing that at all. The keep giving me other projects that makes me learn how to use new equipment and machines, and as soon as I learn those, other people give me jobs to do on those machines. Luckily for me the machines here are cool. (yeah, Mike's a nerd, I've heard it all before) I'm going to be involved in some rolling soon with the steel plates I was sandblasting earlier. It's just going to be nice to work with my hands and metal instead of typing away all day...like I'm doing now...this sucks. So I'm going to go. Have a great long weekend people, I know I will. Please write some comments to me about what you did this weekend.

Terry: fill me in on the details from your camping trip when you get back. I know you're going to have a blast.

PS: Mom, don't worry, Terry is going to be fine.

PPS: I finished putting all the comments on my pictures from my first trips to Montreal. Enjoy!

PPPS: Calgary Flames RULE!

Yesterday was the best work day ever. It started off with a beautiful morning and a nice rollerblade to work. At 9:30 Dmitri was in my office giving me the tasks for the next week and suddenly the lights all go out. Everything stopped, the computers, the robots, the air conditioning. Some of the other students and I decided to go outside and play volleyball until the power was back since there was nothing we could do until then. At 10:30 we saw a couple of the head Alcan guys here come outside and start talking to people. We thought there were telling us to come back in but actually the electricity problem was more serious so they told us just to leave and come back at 1:30. SWEET! So we left for our 3 hour lunch break and walked down to the lake. The day was still hot and sunny with a big blue sky and a hint of a breeze. We played hackysack and walked around for a couple hours and then met the girls at Peel Pub for lunch on the patio. At 1:30 we called the Alcan front desk to see if the power was back on...nope, come back on Thursday! YEAH WOO WOO WOO!! That's when the fun really started. We stocked up at Canadian Tire on everything we'd need for a day at the beach: volleyball, net, rope for lines, sunscreen, and made our way down to the beach volleyball court at the Queen's residence. There we played volleyball, sat in the sun, and laughed about how it was so nice to still be getting paid $20 an hour to do this. We packed it in at 6:30, went home, showered, ordered Chinese food, drank 4 beers each, and got ready for the Calgary playoff game. I was forced to take a quick nap from the beer and sun so I was well rested to watch CALGARY WIN THE SERIES!! It was the greatest end to a great day.

Today isn't so great. I discovered I burned myself a bit more than I thought, it's cloudy and overcast, and I have to be at work. Of course I'm sitting here talking to you guys, but still, I have to be here. It only took one great day for me to get used to the idea of not working during the week. I really like it. Maybe I can go find that transformer they replaced and throw some water on it, give us the afternoon off. Actually, I'll do that tomorrow so we can leave early for Montreal. This is going to be a great long weekend. Hope the rest of you have a weekend as great as my Wednesday! Later peeps.

Hey all, how was your weekend? Here, it was splendid. We did go watch Troy on Saturday. Awesome movie. I liked it so much. They made Achilles into a really neat character. Also Helen, then the most beautiful woman in the world, was smokin'. I don't know who the actress was, but there was something about her gaze on screen that held my attention completely. Speaking of women that I'll never meet, I dreamed of one last night. I've never met her I'm sure, I don't recognize her at all. But we got along great. Sure the places we were in were a bit bizarre, but she was great. I actually wish I didn't have that dream because I feel sad that I'm awake now and will never see her again. Okay, enough of the stupid crap.

Sunday night I saw the best live comedy show ever. Colin, Greg, Brad, Chip, and Jeff are all Who's Line comedians (the first 4 are for sure) and they did pretty much the same thing on stage that they did on TV. There were two shows that night, and a lot of people went to both. And they said the shows were completely different. It took me about half an hour after the show to stop smiling, my face hurt from laughing so much. I also had an aisle seat, very nervous about that. A girl two seats in front of me got pulled up on stage to do the sound effects game. They pulled up a bunch of people from the audience, I'm both sad and very relieved that I didn't go up.

So a very good weekend. Last night I went to the YMCA and played volleyball again. It was really good, and there were only three teams there this time. My team won at least half of their games. Tonight might be beach volleyball, but it's cold and rainy today, so probably not. Maybe it would be a good night to go find the other YMCA building, Beachgrove, and check out the pool. Been a long time since I've done any swimming, last summer at least.

Friday, May 14, 2004

Ah, I'm done!! The work week is over. I'm really looking forward to this weekend because the weather here is going to be unbelievable. We played beach volleyball down by the lake yesterday for a couple hours, until it got dark. I absolutely love beach volleyball. I love playing with less players (on a slightly smaller court too) and diving for balls. We had some awesome rallies. In the end I only lost one game, we switched the teams up every two or three games. Samad only lost two. It was weird how Samad, Chris and I played so much better in the sand than in the gym. The rest of the guys were good too, but normally I really suck. Maybe it's my height that helps. People that can really jump good lose their advantage in sand, plus I can really serve a softer beach volleyball. Good stuff.

Tomorrow we're going to see Troy. I just know it's going to be a great movie. I love the huge battle scenes like in Gladiator and the very beginning of The Mummy Returns. Sunday is the Improv Comedy show at the Grand Theatre. Well Eric is nagging me to get out of here. Later peoples, have a great weekend whether you're enjoying the sun or shoveling snow. (haha, snow in Alberta, about time we had some better weather than you)

Remember brainstorming? It's what your teachers would say when they wanted you to stop learning and just sit and talk with your friends. The teacher would ask if you had any good ideas after too, yeah, let's have more brainstorming! I did some realy brainstorming today, on stuff I can do in the upcoming month. Here's my list:

YMCA Membership ($90): I played volleyball at the Y last night with Annie, Ahmed, and Rick. There were tons of people there but they split everyone up into teams and you get a lot of volleyball in, there's two gyms. I also plan to start swimming three times a week again. I just love being in the water in the summer.

Windsurfing ($85): The Kingston Yacht Club gives windsurfing lessons in the summer here. So in late June or July I'm going to get the lessons and then rent a board on weekends to practice. It's expensive for a lesson, but I'm hoping I can talk my dad in to paying for it if I promise to come home and teach them all how to do it in August/September. (Please dad, pleeeeeaaaase!)

Sailing lessons ($??): These lessons could be free as I'm going to head out with Phil Morris. He has the 30' yacht and looks for people to go out sailing with him. I'm sure I could learn a lot of yacht sailing...for all the yacht sailing I'll do in Alberta...in our reservoir...with my yacht. Still, it'd be pretty cool.

May Long trip to Montreal/Quebec City ($75+): We're going to Montreal and staying at Samads on the Friday, and camping just outside of Quebec City on Saturday night so we can travel around there on Sunday. Spend Monday back in Montreal then home, should be a packed weekend.

Weekend after May Long trip to Toronto ($50+): This is going to be an expensive weekend...maybe. We're going up Saturday, Bluejays game at 4:00 and then a Blink 182 concert that night. On Sunday I'm going to use up my free pass to Canada's Wonderland. (I really really hope the weather will be good this time)

Beach volleyball (free...finally): Ahmed wants to get a regular beach volleyball game going each week...I'm so in.

Working overtime to pay for my summer (sigh): Maybe I'll start working Sundays, or starting at 6:00 am on weekdays or something.

Oh yeah, and I found the cell phone I would like to get to upgrade my current one. It's a Kyocera phone, the Koi model. Thankfully it's only available in Japan so I can't get it, because I'm finding I've very weak when it comes to spending money. If I had a girlfriend right now I would be broke...or at least more broke.

All is right in the world, I am so happy for my family right now. You've already been reading about all the great stuff I've been up to lately but here's what the rest of the boys (and girl) have been up to:

Parents: I'm really glad to see that my mom and dad are able to take more time for themselves lately. (They're saying WHAT? right now) But the way dad has been able to quit call at the hospital and very soon they'll both be able to take more time off. They have a cabin on the go in Montana that they can invest their free time in and make it exactly how they want. (Don't worry, soon I'll be chipping in too) I just know that without all the screaming 5 and 10 year olds running around now they'll be doing more.

Jeff: I talked to Jeff last night at his new place in Calgary. He has a great place, in a great neighbourhood. There is a huge park across the street and it's not far from Lyndsay Park, just south of where I lived last year. They have a foosball table and two dart boards downstairs, they being Jeff and his cool roommates. His job also sounds amazing, testing building sites with Thurber. This is the first time where I've realized that Jeff knows a bunch that I don't. I mean, up until now, he's had the exact same schooling as me, just a year behind. But now that he's in civil he's learning all kinds of cool stuff. Nice work bro! Huge pride!

Terry: I was so surprised when I found out Terry was taking his NLS course in Calgary so that he could lifeguard this summer. He passed on his first try unlike someone else and has already had a staff meeting at the pool (which opens May long weekend). It's just so cool that Terry is going to be working at the same place I did, with the same bosses and most of the same lifeguards. I had so much fun in my four years that I'm super excited now just thinking of what Terry is going to be doing.

Peter: Now I don't think Peter has a cool summer job yet or a cool place to live. (I mean the guy lives with his parents still) But all the same Peter is growing up super fast and I think this is going to be a big summer for him. He can drive now (well with a parent anyway) and it's about time that he grew 10 or 12 inches. He is going to be the best snowboarder and wakeboarder out of the family I'm sure because he is totally unafraid of anything, he's had a head start with 3 older bros to watch and learn from, and now the rest of us aren't always around to hog boarding time he's going to get in 4 times the practice that we did. I hope I can still take this kid when I come home in the summer. I bet by next summer I'll be getting my butt kicked by my youngest and tallest brother Stinky Pete. Of course, by then I'll be mature enough not to provoke him. I'm also praying that his memory fades in his old age of 15.

Yup, I love the family. Can't wait to see you in June for Terry's graduation.

Hey cool. Blogger has changed it's website. (It's where I go to write new entries and customize my page) What a great day for contact sports fans in Calgary. They have a hat trick on the weekend. First: THE FLAMES FREAKIN' WON!! Oh yeah, Iggy had the sweet pass in overtime to Montador, who then took his time putting the puck in the net. He was just waiting for the right time to strike. Second: CANADA FREAKIN' WON!! Canada won it's second consecutive gold at the World Hockey Championships in Prague yesterday. It's cool how half of that team are Oilers. Actually it seems that almost all of the Oilers were in that tournament on one team or another. Third: THE ROUGHNECKS FREAKIN' WON!! Now I must admit that I didn't even know about this until my dad told me today. The Calgary Roughnecks are in the National Lacrosse League and won this weekend. I've never been to one of their games but I'm definitely going next year if I'm in Calgary or not.

So, all in all a great sports weekend. I did some more cooking on the barbecue, went out to the Peel Pub (not a strip club) and the Griz, and watch Van Helsing. I've seen a lot of Dracula movies lately but this one is definitely the best. Very cool effects and an above average vampire story line. Plus Kate Beckinsale is hot. I want to travel this next weekend though. It's been too long. Toronto? Montreal? Ottawa? Roomies, what do you think?

Friday, May 07, 2004

IT'S FRIDAY!! And a beautiful one too. It is only my strong loyalty to my readers that I am still inside writing to you now. I borrowed Paul's extra set of golf clubs today and I think I'm going to hit the range at the airport. The course there is called "The Landing" and is pretty cheap compared to other courses around. I have to practice up a bit before the tournament. I know I'm not going to do great...or even good...but I don't want to really really suck. I'll try to talk one of my roommates into going with me tonight too.

Last night we took Eric and Galvin out to experience Stages. It's a club, a lot like Cowboys but without the wranglers and hats. I've been there once before and it was great. The place was just packed. Totally different story last night. Galvin couldn't get in because he has a new driver's license being mailed to him, but he lived just a bit up the street so the rest of us still went in. Cover was $6, terrible. Then we finally get out to the floor and it's EMPTY. There were more bartenders there than people (all three where very hot). Drinks were only $1.75 so we decided to stay for a few and make some use of our cover charge. A few more people came in after us but this place was just dead. A group of 6 or 7 girls started dancing out on the floor but that was about all that happened. We left after half an hour, broke and depressed. Next time we're going to send in just ONE person first to check the place out. It's better than us all getting burned. I hope that Stages is better on the weekends in the summer. The students are gone but there should be enough people left our age to keep that place going...I hope. Maybe we'll check it out again on Saturday.

Mom: Just wanted to take this chance to say I love you. I hope the rest of the boys can make up for me not being there this Mother's Day. Actually, my present to you this year will be my absence. You might finally have a peaceful Sunday without Peter screaming all the time. Terry, you're in charge of getting my a really sappy card okay? Jeff, you do breakfast. Peter, you just smile and look cute. You're the only one that still can. Once you start to grow mom won't have any little boys left, just a bunch of tall, ugly hockey players. Sorry mom, we tried but that baking and sewing thing just didn't stick. I'll also say Happy Mother's Day to Grandma Hornecker and Grandma Tenove, they've both been my substitute-mom at one point or another. Have a great weekend everyone, I know I will!

Thursday, May 06, 2004

I can't believe it's already Thursday. It just feels like a Wednesday. Eric finally get his computer and bass guitar tonight. I'm really glad he's good at guitar because he's probably going to be loud. Listening to him play is great motivation for me though. I'm playing a lot more than I was before. Tonight is also the final episode of Friends. For some reason I just don't care much for this last season. It's not as funny as the others. Yeah they're all splitting up so that has to be semi serious but c'mon. They're not real characters, they can be funny until the end!

It's been a good day at work. I've sandblasted eight sheets of steel and the next thing I have to do is chop them up into tiny samples. My other projects are almost completely on hold. My plant contact is on vacation until Monday and the nozzle was optimized in one afternoon, they didn't even call me in to help. I'm not sure if that counts as my project anymore. When I am actually there I just stand around and watch. Gary and Rob must not trust me or something....it's been four months and they know me that well already.

This weekend I'm going to hit the driving range once or twice with Ken. I think I'll only get two games in this summer so I'd better make them decent ones. All the guys in my foursome for the June tournament are signed up and paid now. We get bussed there, 18 holes of golf, steak dinner, prizes, and a bus ride home. Sounds like a good situation to me!

Wednesday, May 05, 2004

Toronto lost in overtime last night. They're done, finished, kaput...but who really cares about Toronto? The most important team in the playoffs is moving to the next round so all is well in playoff-hockey-land. We had another good night last night with the new guys. Galvin came back with us after work and he, Eric, Samad and I went down to see our sick friend Amber. She'd been playing hookey...er I mean terribly sick the last few days. She wasn't home when we stopped by but we still had a good time walking around campus and throwing the football around. We also had an intense game of crib later last night.

Today we are starting to think of things to do this weekend. I'm still out of ideas but I did find that Blink 182 is playing in Toronto at the end of May here. I'm thinking I should try and see at least two shows every month while I'm still over here. Most of them will be here in Kingston I think...and probably free, but I'll get out to the city for some good shows too. Too bad I won't be around in October for Metallica. Gary is helping press my steel and aluminum today. It's nice to see your project enter it's next step, it's just too bad that you have to go back to the very beginning ever try. I'm getting faster at sandblasting, shearing, and cleaning but I still have to do it EVERY time because the samples can only be used once. AUGHH! It could be worse though...what happens if this pressing thing doesn't work? It hasn't done too much at 15000 lbs and the press we are using only goes up to 60000 lbs. I'm praying that something will happen soon...something good.

Tuesday, May 04, 2004

This could be a long day. Eric and I were up until 1:30 in the morning watching the FLAMES WIN THE SERIES! I should have just slept in a bit. I would have stayed here later, my boss would have understood. Instead I'm going to look like a zombie for the rest of the morning. The barbecue with my new student co-workers went really well last night. We had over Ken, Galvin, and Gina for some great burgers. Thanks for that barbecue Stacy. We'll get some good use out of it I'm sure. Four of us went down to the Griz later to play some pool. I'm just glad no one else was there to see us play. Every once and a while someone would go on a bit of a run, but most of the time nobody was putting anything down. I think more than half our games ended because one team scratched on the 8-ball. We'll be better next time.

I feel so great that the flames were able to win last night. As soon as the puck squeezed through the crease past Joseph I knew it was over. Gelinas never misses...I hope. Even though it was early in the morning I let out a couple of cheers at the top of my lungs. I appologized this morning to the rest of my roommates. Surprisingly none of them heard me. Next time the Flames win in O/T they sure will.

Monday, May 03, 2004

I think this is going to be an exciting week. My boss is back from Switzerland today so I'm really going to drive myself to get some stuff done this week (and it has nothing to do with my student evaluation form arriving this week). There are also 8 new young faces around here today. 4 engineers, 3 summer students, and 1 girl working in the library (does that make her a librarian?). I've only met Galvin and Eric so far. Galvin is Samad's replacement for whenever Samad finally leaves. He'll be helping out in the mechanical testing lab doing strain tests and stuff. Eric is going to be taking over for Kevin. I think his main job will be giving work to Samad and Galvin. I've introduced myself to Michelle, the librarian but that's about it. She my age or younger I think. The rest of the I will hopefully meet tonight. I've got the barbecue bug again. I try to have these all the time in Edmonton and they're usually pretty popular. We have Stacy's barbecue for the summer so we've invited all the new students over tonight for some food and fun.

I just feel good in general today. I was a bit sad not seeing Kevin in the gym for the first time today but I'll get over it. Rob was there to spot me anyway. I'm also enjoying my new haircut. I'll get a picture up on my site sometime soon. It might be a shock for most of you. The last time I had my hair this short I was about 6 or 7 and my mom was still cutting my hair. I think I have to give it a week or so before I decide if I like it. Mom, maybe you'll be able to start cutting my hair again! My 'working hard to impress the boss' isn't going to work so well if I stay on here much longer so I'd better go. Hey, we can watch the Calgary game after the barbecue tonight. GO FLAMES GO!!

Saturday, May 01, 2004

The last two days sucked...because I lost two roommates. Well I didn't lose them, I've talked to them both since they've got back to Vancouver, but I miss them. No more ping pong with Kevin, no more eating breakfast with Sharon in the morning before any of our other roommates had even stirred. We dropped Kevin off at the airport on Friday and Sharon Saturday. I just feel really sad thinking about it now. I hope this will be an exciting week to keep my mind off of it. Chris, Samad, and I get two new roommates. Danny got here on Saturday and Eric was supposed to be here Saturday night at 9:00 ish. It's now 1:30 am Sunday and he's still a no show. I guess plans could have changed in the last few weeks pretty easy. Samad is gone so Chris and I were going to take them out for some pool at the Griz but that didn't happen. The three of us here were going to go but that would mean Eric might show up without a key. He'll probably have to knock on one of our windows at 4 am like Kevin had to do back in January.

I was also supposed to move into Sharon's room today but after getting started (moving a couple piles of clothes) I realized that it would be just too much to move and that I had finally got my room here set up the way I want. Yeah my bed space is barely taller than I am and yeah I can only have one door (room, closet, dresser) open at a time but this is my room. I have all my posters up, a nice view down the street, and I plan on being outside as much as I can this summer anyway. So instead of moving I got an hour of guitar practice in. It's been a few weeks since I've last played but I seem to get better even during those pauses. One song that I'm trying hard to learn now is No Rain by Blind Melon. I just like the sound of the intro. Plus that guy doesn't have much of a singing voice so maybe I could learn to sing to this one too and sound good. Oh, and Calgary won their last game 1-0. I think they're going to take the series, and then the cup. We're going all the way baby!
