Toronto lost in overtime last night. They're done, finished, kaput...but who really cares about Toronto? The most important team in the playoffs is moving to the next round so all is well in playoff-hockey-land. We had another good night last night with the new guys. Galvin came back with us after work and he, Eric, Samad and I went down to see our sick friend Amber. She'd been playing hookey...er I mean terribly sick the last few days. She wasn't home when we stopped by but we still had a good time walking around campus and throwing the football around. We also had an intense game of crib later last night.
Today we are starting to think of things to do this weekend. I'm still out of ideas but I did find that Blink 182 is playing in Toronto at the end of May here. I'm thinking I should try and see at least two shows every month while I'm still over here. Most of them will be here in Kingston I think...and probably free, but I'll get out to the city for some good shows too. Too bad I won't be around in October for Metallica. Gary is helping press my steel and aluminum today. It's nice to see your project enter it's next step, it's just too bad that you have to go back to the very beginning ever try. I'm getting faster at sandblasting, shearing, and cleaning but I still have to do it EVERY time because the samples can only be used once. AUGHH! It could be worse though...what happens if this pressing thing doesn't work? It hasn't done too much at 15000 lbs and the press we are using only goes up to 60000 lbs. I'm praying that something will happen soon...something good.
