Well Eric, the mayor of Nanton was at my brother's graduation last night. I didn't actually shake is hand but I did stop by and say hi. His nephew is graduation this year with Terry too. The grad was really good. My brother had to make a few speaches, plus he did the grad video pretty much on his own this year. It turned out really awesome. I'm so proud of him. When he was going up to recieve his scroll one of the teachers stepped up to the microphone to make a special comment about Terry and his help with the sports teams at the high school. He said Terry is "one of the best ever, people." Terry, you rock, congradulations brother.

As for Nanton, I went out after the grad (which ended after midnight) to Blue's with a bunch of my high school friends. It's been a long time since I've seen some of these people. We drank, played some air hockey (no Jeff, I wasn't cheating, that's just good strategy), and just have a nice time visiting. One of my classmates now manages that bar and people have said it's been getting better since he took over. I know it's sure better than when I was there. Air hockey rules! It's so good to be home now. Our place is looking great, my parents have been doing a great job getting this place ready for the grad party that's taking place later today. Well, the work is almost done. I guess I should do my part. Later people!

Wow, what a night. Today was one of the best days we've had for beach volleyball. The sun was out, there was a bit of a breeze to keep us cool, and my serves were on fire. I've finally figured out the jump serve. The other team would complain every time I got up behind the line. Ah, good times. Too bad we lost the last game and had to take down the net. After that we went to the Copper Penny for dinner. It's the last night I get to spend in Kingston here with Samad. He's been like a brother to me here, older or younger I'm not sure of yet, but he's been a really good friend. I wish him all the luck in the world on his upcoming trip to Australia, I'm sure he'll have a great time. I can't make this blog too long. It's getting late, I have to drive to Toronto tomorrow, and my roommates...ugh...too many pitchers of beer tonight. I bought Samad a couple of shots tonight but the other guys made sure I had all the same shots coming right back at me. My poor mom, she called me as we were getting home for some computer advice. I wasn't able to help her, not because of the alcohol, more just because I don't know anything about the video editing software they're using there for Terry's grad video. I can't believe my brother Terry graduates from high school in two days. There's something really wrong about that. Oh well, at least I get to be there to see it happen. Have a great day people.

I apologize to Nina and Amber for not telling the complete events of this past weekend in Montreal. I will fix that problem now. After our walk up St. Laurent Street, past all the vendors and after eating a whole pineapple, we stumbled upon one of the events of the Fringe Festival. There was a competition in this outdoor park for drag queens. It was called the "Drag Race" and was very...well...gay. The announcer was speaking in English and French and was really quite funny. The guy/girl contestants had to show their skill by pulling some random guy (usually straight) from the crowd, put makeup on him, then mix a drink, carry the drink on a tray walking through some tires on the ground, and then get a thumbs up from the drink test. The drink tester looked a lot like Dana Carvey's female character on that new Lays commercial and I really feel sorry for him, those were some disgusting drinks. Anyway, then they'd get several whacks at this piniata, and next lip-sync to a song, like one by Madonna. I must say that the guy that won the competition put on an excellent performance. I also thought that there were some pretty good looking girls in the crowd watching but I didn't say anything just in case I was mistaken about their gender. This is when I realized that I DEFINITELY wasn't in Nanton anymore.

And yes, later that night there was a guy standing out of the sunroof of his buddy's SUV, wearing a veil and a white undershirt with one of the shoulders ripped off. The SUV and the car beside them were going very slow, side-by-side, and holding up a lot of traffic behind them. I think the people were honking for them to get out of the way. Amber really enjoyed the short show though.

Since I'm writing I may as well tell you about last night too. We did finally go sailing on a rented Hobie 16. Samad, Eric, Galvin and I went out at 6:00 when there was still some wind, although it would only get up to 10 knots or so. That's not quite enough to make the trapeze work properly, but after a little instruction and a couple of close calls, we had one person hanging out either side of the boat. The water is still pretty cold but easily tolerable. Chris and Ken came out to join me on the boat later. Teaching these guys was pretty interesting as it had been a long time since Chris had been out on a boat and Ken had never been on one, sail or power. We did finally get both of them hanging off the side until a big wave came up and knocked Ken to the back of the boat. He was dragging in the water behind the rudders and the whole boat was starting to pull over backwards. I had to drop everything and run up to the front to balance things out. Chris pulled himself in quickly and loosened up some of the lines for me. We eventually got Ken back in the boat and made it back to shore. Ah, crazy day. Speaking of which, some...asshole driver almost hit me yesterday. On our way home from work yesterday we passed through some construction that was bottling up the oncoming traffic. At the lights they had made a space to that cars crossing our street could pass through. Well some guy tried to pass through when he still had a red light. I was coming the other way and had to slam on my brakes, really hard. My tires locked up, rubber screeched, Chris yelled "Oh shit! Ahh Mike!", and I just calmly steered the car out of harms way with only one hand on the wheel. That was because the other hand still had a death grip on my door. Sure got the heart pumping. Chris said his skipped a couple beats. The guys in the back were pretty quiet but Eric said he fingered the guy for me. My roommates are very supportive.

I know the posting is a little bit late but better late then never. Montreal was awesome this weekend. It's the first time I've spent a whole weekend in the city with absolutely beautiful weather.

Friday we left right from work and drove to Nina's apartment near downtown Montreal. We chilled with a few drinks there after the long drive and then went down to St. Sulpice. I'm sure Eric was a little red faced when he entered the courtyard again, but unfortunately I took the scenic route to the bar and was there almost an hour after everyone else. It was a really warm night in the city, and Nina's apartment was a real cooker, even with all the windows open.

Saturday we took a bus down town and toured St. Laurent Street after finding Nina's friend, Amy. The whole street was blocked off to traffic and was filled with people. There were vendors selling all kinds of things along the side. We stopped at one roadside cafe for a couple of pitchers of beer and watched the people walking by. A guy sitting at the next table had a pair of huge bulldogs. Everybody who walked by would stare, it was actually quite funny to see their expressions. My spending along this street was limited to the beer and a pineapple on a stick. They skin a whole pineapple, jam it on a chopstick, and watch you attempt to take your first bite without getting the sticky juice all over yourself. Galvin and I both took on these huge fruits, coming out with bleeding lips, numb tongues, and feeling slightly sick. Brings me back to the "too much of a good thing" cheesecake eating incident a week earlier. After the market we zipped back to Nina's for a quick nap and some pizza and then, along with Samad's family, took the metro down to Old Port for the fireworks show. It's easily the best show I've seen in real life. It lasted for almost half an hour and had everything you can see in a firework show: loud explosions, bright explosions, 2D and 3D designs, some that moved, some that multiplied, and some that just never seemed to end.

Chris had decided to come to Montreal too with some of his friends that are from Vancouver and working out east like us. He found us after the fireworks had finished and then we all walked back up to St. Laurent Street to Cafe Campus. I like this club, they play a variety of music, not just Sean Paul like Stages here in town. There was a special on shots this night so we started buying shots, five at a time, until we were broke. Chris bore the brunt of the alcoholic assault and found himself dancing most of the time there in middle of the circle our little group had made while we all chanted "CHRIS! CHRIS! CHRIS!" and thwarted any of his attempts to leave the circle. Our party had to leave around 12:30 to make sure we caught the metro back to Nina's and left Chris and his friends to continue dancing. I wish we had been able to stick around for the rest of his night, apparently it was very interesting. He does have a video interview later that night where he blames Eric and I for his...comatose state. Nice work Chris, made our weekend.

We woke up Sunday to one of the most gorgeous summer days I've ever experienced. Samad and gone home with his family the night before and we met up with them at an Iranian barbecue the next afternoon. It was a really nice family picnic. I loved the kabobs and the barbecued chicken, not a big fan of the salads though. After that we went to Tam Tams which is a little north of McGill University, up the mountain. Here there were hundreds of people with drums, bongos, tambourines, and all kinds of things to bang on playing as one large band. They would slowly change their sound but just keep pounding to a common beat. Very cool stuff, a lot of hippies around too. We also got to see the Olympic torch make its way through Montreal here. I don't know the name of the guy carrying the torch when it passed but a very neat experience all the same. The drive home was very quick and we were back in time to watch the end of Zoolander with Chris. Ah, I just love that city. I hope I get to go just one more time before I leave here...and one more time after that. Mom, Dad, you have to come visit me before the end and check it out.

MONTREAL HO!

That's right, in less than two hours I will be the road to Quebec for the fourth time since I've been here. I'm excited because I have a great time whenever we go. I'll be taking Galvin and Samad while Gina is traveling with Eric and Amber. We'll have the Kingston Convoy out on the 401. Today has been pretty blah, but Fridays here always are. Nobody really works hard in the morning and then most people take the afternoon off, go golfing or something. Then there's me, I've been working my butt of today, pooring over test results, writing my energy recovery reports, and kicking some serious ass in ping pong. Yeah, maybe I could have worked a bit harder today, but for a Friday, this was some serious productivity. Like this morning, I shaped the letters of my name out of some scrap steel shimstock that I had in my office. Now everyone will know that this is the office of MIKE instead of employee 105H. I made one for Amber too but I must say it was a lot tougher. Pretty much everyone has this now, Chris made his out of aluminum at the beginning of our work term. Eric and Ken have metal names too. I wouldn't mind working really hard for the rest of the day if I could just put my life on fast forward for a few hours. I don't care how tired and battered I am at the end, it just sitting here and actually grinding out all this stuff is sucking the life out of me. Dad, I don't know how you can stand that clinic, Mom, I don't know how you could stand us kids. I think I'm going to move to Barcelona afer I graduate and become a permanent tourist. What will I do for money you ask? Well...it's Europe, maybe I can become a model or something. I'll be the next Zoolander. Instead of "blue steel" I'll be "canend stock aluminum"! They'll never know what hit them over there. Have a great weekend people!

I'm guessing that my day to day log of what I do is getting boring for most of you so today I'm not telling you a thing about what I did! I'm not going to tell you about the awesome time I had at the YMCA volleyball last night, I'm not going to tell you that my team lost at baseball today, and I'm not going to tell you that I won a million dollars (cuz that would be lying). Instead I'm going to bring about a discussion topic that is extremely controversial. I have heard people being threatened for even mentioning this particular subject. I'm going to discuss PEANUTS! Yes, those tastey little nuts that you eat in so many ways. What I don't get about peanuts is how they always seem to taste different, even from the same package. Some days I would just crave peanuts. I would go through a hundred of them before even worrying to take of the shells. Other days I just catch a whiff of their smell and I start to think that those people who are deathly allergic to them aren't missing much. There are so many kinds of peanuts too, or at least many ways to prepare them. You can get them salted, crushed, covered in chocolate...I'm sure there's more too. My favorite would have to be just plain, still in their shells. That way you get something to do with your hands and it keeps you from inhaling the whole bucket (mom really hates that). Yeah, they leave a mess I guess, but the fun is worth it. How do squirrels eat nuts? Do they pop the whole thing in their mouth like us or do they slowly nibble away at it. I think it's the latter but they always eat so fast it's hard to tell. How many peanuts could a squirrel eat at once? I mean, peanuts are probably almost the size of their stomachs. Do they eat two and call it a meal? Or will they just eat as many as the can get their hands on until they can barely climb up their tree? What would happen if you soaked peanuts in alcohol before feeding it to a squirrel? Well, they probably would smell it and leave it alone, but wouldn't that be funny to see a squirrel take a couple of peanut shots and then start staggering along in their tree. You'd find them a couple hours later, passed out, straddling a branch. Why do they call it a peanut? Are they related to peas? I guess they kind of look like them, and they both have the pod/shell thing going for them. Hmm, I think I've about overloaded my brain for one day and my peanut craving is probably going to interfere with my work this afternoon. Mmmm...peanuts...who's coming to Loblaws after work with me?

DETHRONED!

Ah, last night was terrible for volleyball...for my part anyway. I had a couple of good serves but that was about it. I think I must be sick from the sailing last week. Every morning this week it has been incredibly hard to get out of bed. I'm getting enough sleep, usually 8 hours a night. I had a business meeting this morning too, one of my first, I can't remember the last one I had. It was supposed to be one hour but they stretched it out for two. They were either talking about things I already knew a lot about or things that didn't concern me and I couldn't understand anyway. They'd say stuff like "Remember when we ran that X-345? Yeah, well so and so is also looking at doing something like that. Maybe an ABC test would help us." I have no idea what they're talking about. Basically they just needed my body there today. So it was up to me to stay awake for 2 hours when I'm extremely bored and already sick and tired. I think I know what hell is like... But then I had this Get Fuzzy comic from Sunday to cheer me up.

Sometimes cartoonists just capture that perfect "spaced-out" look. I really want to put this on a t-shirt. Can somebody help me with that? Peace y'all. This is my day off of physical activity to rest up...until volleyball at the YMCA tonight...D'OH!

VOLLEYBALL KING!!

Man, what a great night yesterday. We rushed home from work to make supper and then we were down at the beach volleyball court at 6:00. My passing was so-so but my serves were on fire. Galvin was having a hell of a time on the other side of the net, usually just dropping to his knees and sighing in defeat. We also played with a rule where the winning team has to do jump serves if they're winning by 3 or more points. Usually this is to keep the game close because the serves are hard to do but it was working for me last night. My jump serves were even harder than my standing serves. Birkch would be proud. We finished at 8:00 and I rushed home, changed into some non-sandy shorts, and drove off to the YMCA for another two and a half hours of volleyball. Instead of being tired from the beach I was actually incredibly warmed up. My serves were still good but my smashes were the best I've ever done. I was pounding the ball down on the other side, putting crazy spins on them, and just jumping higher than I've ever been able to in volleyball. I could block, pass, even set when called upon. My team was also good, we just fit well together. We lost one game all night and had a lot of fun. Jeffy, I can't wait to play again in the fall at the U of A. We're definitely getting a team together. Peace y'all!

I'm home...and I'm alive. I really hate driving in these big cities, and Toronto is way worse than Montreal. Especially at night. Other than that, and not finding a place to stay until about 11:00 Saturday night, it was really good. The Bluejays stomped the Diamondbacks 15-4, a lot of home runs in the game too. I have a 69 mph fast ball. I think I can go faster too but I have to change my technique a little bit. Maybe I should start pitching?? Naw. Anyway after that we drove around to several hotels and finally settled on this one ghetto place called Alexandria. I guess three big guys don't have as much to fear. Eric, Galvin and I can handle it. We went to O'Grady's on College Street, right at the base of the U of T. Regina came down to meet us. We drank a bunch of beer, played some free pool. Galvin and Eric got into this contest against some guys from the U of T on which was better: Toronto or Vancouver, the Leafs or the Canucks. The winner of the pool game had the better city, better hockey team...etc. It was really funny to watch because both teams were very drunk and cheating like crazy. Ah, good entertainment. I walked Regina home and then rushed back to save my roomies from getting too carried away. I was a little more nervous on the way home because it was 2 am and I was the only one sober enough to defend myself.

The next day we were up early and off to Canada's Wonderland. It really rocked this time. We hit all the big rollercoasters: Top Gun, Sledgehammer, Vortex, couple of rickety wooden ones, one where you stand up. Regina screamed most of the time, Eric thought he was going to be sick and stopped going on rides at the end, and Galvin and I made it all the way through, although he wasn't feeling great at the end, mostly due to the fun the night before. The drive home was quick and I was back just in time to go with Samad and Nina to see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabahn. Good movie, much darker than the first two. Okay, work time.

Saturday, June 12, 2004

You know those stupid things that people do when they're drunk? Well, apparently alcohol might not be the factor. Last night we did something drunkish without any iniebreation. After going out for Chinese food after work we stopped by Costco so I could pick up a few important things: cheese and a photo album. I got the cheese, as well as a box of Kirkland cookies, a tub of grapes, and a whole strawberry cheesecake. The cookies and grapes we're saving for the trip to Toronto today, but the cheesecake was for last night. Eric, Galvin, Chris and I ate the whole thing. Just cut it into four and started munching...and this is after a huge supper. The first bite was heaven, the last bite was agony. Just an experience I don't think I will repeat. We're about to go though so we can make the Bluejays game. Have a great weekend people. I'll tell you about mine later.

Friday, June 11, 2004

My parents have always been under the impression that I was born under a lucky star. Things just seem to work out in my life. I get lucky breaks here and there. Last night my luck struck again. Andrea and I had been talking about going out sailing for a while and last night we finally made it out on the lake. It had been the most perfect sailing weather all day and we still had some good sun and wind around 6:00 when we got the boat in the water. She's been sailing her whole life and she races in regattas most weekends. So I learned a lot. At then end she said "wow, I didn't have to show you as much as I thought I would" or something like that. I took it as a compliment. But we sailed east along the shore, past downtown and the mouth of the river until we were in front of RMC. Another few kilometers is the first of the 1000 islands. That is why this is the best fresh water sailing in the world. The islands are beautiful. Sometime I'm going to take a few people and head down that way. We tacked in front of RMC and went on a broad reach most of the way home (see, I learned something). Just as we were getting into the gate of the Marina the wind died...completely. We tried to keep going on the little breaths of wind that came every once and a while but we were stuck floating about 100 feet from the ramp. I was thinking I'd have to volunteer to get in and kick but Andrea showed me what a great sailor she is. She stood up, rudder pole in one hand the main sheet in the other and started rocking the boat back and forth. We were in a laser, and I was impressed that she could stand up and not fall off, but I guess she's done this before. Something about the shape of the boat makes it propel itself forward when you rock it. So after a minute of rocking we were in. I think it was my luck that made us turn back when we did. We could have easily been out in the lake somewhere when the wind died. Instead we just made it in. Thank you so much for the chance to get out there Andrea, it made my week.

After that I was pretty much toast. No one was home, so I made myself a few sandwiches, fell asleep in front of the TV, and was in bed and out before midnight. Still slept in this morning though. Tonight we're going to this Chinese place for supper and then to a house party later tonight. Tomorrow morning...early...we're Toronto bound!

Thursday, June 10, 2004

Surf's up dude! Or more, sail's up! That's right, I'm going sailing for the first time this summer tonight. Andrea is an avid sailor (or so I'm told) and she's taking me out on her boat tonight. It's a small boat and I'm a big guy, but I think we'll manage. I was going to look at renting a Hobie 16 for the evening but it's $35 for the first hour and then $20 for each hour after that. I think I'll do it once or twice this summer but not on my first time out. I have to get a feel for the wind again.

I had some trouble at work today. For some reason the steel samples that I blasted yesterday oxidized when I cleaned them today. They were fine overnight and hexane isn't supposed to oxidize them, but it somehow happened. I think it took off a layer of lubricant that left some new metal exposed...didn't like that I guess. Oh well, it ruined the metal and I don't have anymore until my next shipment comes in tomorrow or Monday, but it's not a big deal. The boss said not to worry and concentrate on pressing. Tomorrow I get trained on the big press downstairs. It'll crush anything, including my little fingers, so I think I'll pay attention.

Two weeks from today I'm home baby! Peace out, y'all!

Wednesday, June 09, 2004

I heard some funny stories from home last night. Terry is graduating this year and instead of getting gay engraved wine glasses and beer mugs like I did, they got jackets. The jackets are royal blue with white leather arms. Terry has "Terence" and the number "3" written on one arm and his school interestes "Athletics" "Academics" "Streaking" on the other arm. The really funny thing is that people don't laugh at the Streaking one, they laugh when he shows them the Academic one. Nice work bro, can't wait to see it. Have mom take a picture so I can take a look. Peter also had a funny story. I've been calling him William Hung because a couple days ago he had to sing "She Bangs" on the intercom at his school. I'm not sure why, he never told me, probably a Student Council thing. I'm sure Petey enjoyed every second of it too.

Tonight I'm back at the YMCA with volleyball. I really hope they have the air conditioning turned way up tonight. Kingston is freaking hot and stuffy today. Around 10:00 this morning it clouded over but was still like 35 C. I've never been in weather that hot with clouds covering the sky. Now it's beautiful and blue out. I bet the rest of the guys will want to go play beach volleyball after work. Count me out tonight, I need the rest. My tan can't handle that kind of sun yet anyway. The warmth isn't bad around the offices here, but I sure feel sorry for the poor guys working out in the foundry. I had to do some work out there this morning and you're sweating bullets after only a few minutes of standing there. Ok, another half an hour of work...them I'm outta here.

Tuesday, June 08, 2004

Two weeks from Thursday I'm driving to Toronto and getting on a plane to Calgary. This is going to be sweet. I hope to spend at least 8 of my 10 days home waterskiing. Everyone else will be working so this might be a challenge. I'll have to get the boat up to speed, tie the wheel so it goes straight, and carefully launch myself off the back. Or I'll just get Terry to take a few days off work and come with me. Peter won't have school, but I don't know if he can drive the boat yet legally. He drives great illegally. I might take Terry and some of his friends down to Montana too. Mom would feel a lot better if I was there. Ah, it's such a nice daydream.

Tonight the girls want to go for wings, the guys want to play beach volleyball. I'm going too try for both. I'll sit and referee the volleyball cuz I'm tired, and then I'll sit and drink water at The Brass cuz I'm poor. (See mom, I'm saving for my tuition!)

Monday, June 07, 2004

Good morning all. What a successful weekend. I got around 30 hours of sleep, really helped to recharge. Spent most of that energy on Saturday golfing though. The tournament was great. We left Alcan at 10:30 for Belleville and cracked our first beers shortly after. Jen, you Homer Simpson bottle opener was a hit! Our group was the second off the tees, right behind the girls. I think Ken was the only one to hit it straight...and that barely made the fair way. Yeah, off to a great start I know. It got a lot better after that. We kept the snack-cart girl busy for most of the day, buying beer and sandwiches. In the end we were only 5 over par, with 2 birdies and 7 bogies. We used a lot of my drives and a couple of my iron shots, maybe one of my putts. Ken and Chris took care of most of the middle work and putting. Eric recorded 6 shots of our 77, and was super happy. Of course we let him take first crack at most of the 2 foot puts but he still did very well for his first time out. Around 5:00 we traded in our rented clubs for some gin and tonics and watched as the rest of the groups started to limp in. At 6:30 there was a catered supper, steak and apple pie! (yes there was a lot more, but I just mention the highlights) After the food was done there were some prizes giving out. The winning team shot a score of 60, 12 under par. Eric was about to dispute that, saying that we had done way better with our 77, but we stopped him before he made a fool of himself (just kidding Eric). I won a pair of "19th hole" beer glasses, Ken and Chris got $10 gift certificates to Canadian Tire, and Eric's envelope said "Sorry, try again". The ride back was short, and I was home in time to see the start of the second period. I already wrote about my emotional turmoil and later depression. Tonight is game 7! I still haven't decided where I'm going to freak out... I mean, where I'm going to watch the game. I may need some of those tranq pills to keep me in my seat. GO FLAMES GO!! GO FLAMES GO!! GO FLAMES GO!!

Sunday, June 06, 2004

Augh, last night was really depressing. For those of you who are completely insane, locked away in a mental hospital, and didn't watch the hockey game, Calgary lost in OT. Those two overtime periods were one of the biggest emotional rollercoasters in my life. That would have been amazing to win the cup at home. We'll get it tomorrow though. Today I slept in to 1:00, went to work out at Alcan, at breakfast around 3:00, cleaned the house, played volleyball at the beach for a few hours, and made supper. I just got out of the shower now, lost 10 lbs. All that sand I can trap in my hair really makes a difference. Well I only have one more goal for the rest of the weekend, and that is to park myself in front of the boob-tube for a few hours. Have to get crackin'. Later peoples, GO FLAMES GO!!

Friday, June 04, 2004

Wanna know three guys who rule? Martin Gelinas, Jarome Iginla, and Miikka Kiprusoff. Those guys were incredible last night. I had to laugh at the first Lightning goal though. Two Calgary guys side by side on their back behind the net and then two more crashed into Kiprusoff, sending all three into the back of the net. At least I can laugh now that Calgary won the game. That overtime period was almost too much for me. My roommates were laughing and concerned at the same time. I really hope the cup goes to Calgary this year. If they play like they did last night, or better yet, in game 3, they'll have it for sure.

Here in Kingston most minds aren't really on hockey. It's getting so nice out. I think next week I'm going to try and get out sailing. First I have to read a book on sailing right-of-ways and stuff. I've never really had to know that before since I'm usually the only one out on the water. That or head out with someone who knows the area. Anyone interested? I think if I start doing more sailing than volleyball, my body might actually recover here. I'm not so sore today, but I did pretty much nothing yesterday. Played a little baseball at lunch and went for a walk down to the lake after work. Today we're going to the driving range right after for some last minute practice. Tournament is tomorrow! Peace y'all, hope you have a great weekend too!

Thursday, June 03, 2004

Augh, my new site isn't working very well. I'm sure a lot of you have tried it and just got an error message. I think I have too many pictures on there. I'll try to cut it down or divide the pictures among a couple pages. For now, I'll leave it as it is. Every hour or so it resets and a couple more people can view it. So keep trying, if you get to see it, you're lucky. Tonight they're playing beach volleyball again. I...am not. I need to give my body a rest or it might stop working. Even with all this volleyball, baseball, and pulling my back on Tuesday, I've still kept my regular running and weightlifting going. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea. So tonight, a break. I'm going to go down to the lake with a book after work, sit in the sun, and read. I think I've talked Amber into coming too, she's looked so stressed lately. Today she's started giggling and laughing at the weirdest times for no apparent reason. I think she's about to crack and needs a break. She shouldn't work so hard, so I'll teach her. According to her I'm the master of not working hard. I just prefer to think I do all the work and just do it right the first time, eh Jeffy? You need to get a computer soon. I miss your comments bro. I haven't read anything retarded in a month or so.

Ok, the new Quebec City site it up and running, the link works now. I played almost 5 hours of volleyball last night but when I got home I jut didn't feel like sleeping. Instead I put up all my pictures and wrote half of the comments. The rest I finished up during my "slightly longer than 15 minutes" break this morning. It's different than my other trip sites but there were way more pictures this time. I'm going to go clean some steel now. The new stuff I ordered camed with this black/blue lubricant all over it, have to make it shiny grey. Then at lunch I'll be playing for Angela's baseball team. I've been recruited...for baseball...who would have thought it!? Have a great day people!

Not much to update today. I'm working on getting my page for Quebec City up and running. Yes the guy in the picture looks damn studly but no you can't click on it yet to see the webpage. I want to have it completely finished before I complete the link. Just give me a few more days. It's not like I do this at work or anything. Matt Good is playing at AJ's Hangar here in Kingston tonight. There's a lot of floor space around the stage and it would be a great concert but it's $25 and I'm actually trying to save money now. I need to go to volleyball at the YMCA tonight so that I can start bringing down the average cost of playing there. So far it's $45 a game. I think we're going to play some beach volleyball tonight before that, and I played some volleyball here at Alcan during my lunch hour which is on a grass court. Three very different types of vball in one day, I'm so confused. Also, $25 would buy a lot of beer at our golf tournament this Saturday. We were discussing team names. Galvin wants it to be "Mexican Sunrise". I just don't get it, something to do with tequila. I know there's potential out there for a really slick team name. We may even go to a dollar store to dress up first. Have to keep it somewhat sensible so we're still allowed to play. Any ideas people? How about "The Fearsome Foursome"? Or "Big Daddy Driver and the Three Hard Woods"? Leave me some suggestions in my comments. It has to be intimidating though as we'll be chasing the girls team (sorry Rob) all around the course. FORE!!

Welcome folks, it's a lovely Tuesday, June 1st outside. Summer is definitely almost here. I had my second baseball game of the season at lunch today. My team got pounded again but I hit my second home run. It's a small field, so a home run might not sound impressive, but as part of our rules we're not allowed to hit the ball over the fence. That means I have friends like Galvin and Eric on the other team messing up the throw-in so that I can make it to home...thanks guys! Brian, my team captain, was happy anyway. They stick me out in center field too so that I have to do all the running. I guess that's good cuz I have to skip my noon workout. We didn't lose by much, maybe three runs. At our last at bat we had 10 runs come in, before the other team realized the count and told us you're only allowed 7 per inning. So we would have at least tied them. Ah, it's done with, we'll win next time.

On other news, Calgary lost last night, that sucks. I think it will go to game seven. I think Calgary will win on Thursday and then Tampa will beat the Flames at home again. I don't know who will take the cup. Tonight Gina is trying to talk us all into going for wings. I still have some healthy leftovers at home, so I might go but pass on the wings. I wish that every week you could have a FREE meal. Like one that doesn't cost any money and won't make you fat, not matter what it is or how much you eat. Well, maybe if I work up a sweat at ping pong now I can have a few wings tonight. Who will be my prey this afternoon? Galvin? Eric? Samad? Ken? Someone is going down. Petey, when I get home, you're next! Hope you've been practicing.
