I think this is going to be an exciting week. My boss is back from Switzerland today so I'm really going to drive myself to get some stuff done this week (and it has nothing to do with my student evaluation form arriving this week). There are also 8 new young faces around here today. 4 engineers, 3 summer students, and 1 girl working in the library (does that make her a librarian?). I've only met Galvin and Eric so far. Galvin is Samad's replacement for whenever Samad finally leaves. He'll be helping out in the mechanical testing lab doing strain tests and stuff. Eric is going to be taking over for Kevin. I think his main job will be giving work to Samad and Galvin. I've introduced myself to Michelle, the librarian but that's about it. She my age or younger I think. The rest of the I will hopefully meet tonight. I've got the barbecue bug again. I try to have these all the time in Edmonton and they're usually pretty popular. We have Stacy's barbecue for the summer so we've invited all the new students over tonight for some food and fun.
I just feel good in general today. I was a bit sad not seeing Kevin in the gym for the first time today but I'll get over it. Rob was there to spot me anyway. I'm also enjoying my new haircut. I'll get a picture up on my site sometime soon. It might be a shock for most of you. The last time I had my hair this short I was about 6 or 7 and my mom was still cutting my hair. I think I have to give it a week or so before I decide if I like it. Mom, maybe you'll be able to start cutting my hair again! My 'working hard to impress the boss' isn't going to work so well if I stay on here much longer so I'd better go. Hey, we can watch the Calgary game after the barbecue tonight. GO FLAMES GO!!
