Remember brainstorming? It's what your teachers would say when they wanted you to stop learning and just sit and talk with your friends. The teacher would ask if you had any good ideas after too, yeah, let's have more brainstorming! I did some realy brainstorming today, on stuff I can do in the upcoming month. Here's my list:
YMCA Membership ($90): I played volleyball at the Y last night with Annie, Ahmed, and Rick. There were tons of people there but they split everyone up into teams and you get a lot of volleyball in, there's two gyms. I also plan to start swimming three times a week again. I just love being in the water in the summer.
Windsurfing ($85): The Kingston Yacht Club gives windsurfing lessons in the summer here. So in late June or July I'm going to get the lessons and then rent a board on weekends to practice. It's expensive for a lesson, but I'm hoping I can talk my dad in to paying for it if I promise to come home and teach them all how to do it in August/September. (Please dad, pleeeeeaaaase!)
Sailing lessons ($??): These lessons could be free as I'm going to head out with Phil Morris. He has the 30' yacht and looks for people to go out sailing with him. I'm sure I could learn a lot of yacht sailing...for all the yacht sailing I'll do in Alberta...in our reservoir...with my yacht. Still, it'd be pretty cool.
May Long trip to Montreal/Quebec City ($75+): We're going to Montreal and staying at Samads on the Friday, and camping just outside of Quebec City on Saturday night so we can travel around there on Sunday. Spend Monday back in Montreal then home, should be a packed weekend.
Weekend after May Long trip to Toronto ($50+): This is going to be an expensive weekend...maybe. We're going up Saturday, Bluejays game at 4:00 and then a Blink 182 concert that night. On Sunday I'm going to use up my free pass to Canada's Wonderland. (I really really hope the weather will be good this time)
Beach volleyball (free...finally): Ahmed wants to get a regular beach volleyball game going each week...I'm so in.
Working overtime to pay for my summer (sigh): Maybe I'll start working Sundays, or starting at 6:00 am on weekdays or something.
Oh yeah, and I found the cell phone I would like to get to upgrade my current one. It's a Kyocera phone, the Koi model. Thankfully it's only available in Japan so I can't get it, because I'm finding I've very weak when it comes to spending money. If I had a girlfriend right now I would be broke...or at least more broke.
