Surf's up dude! Or more, sail's up! That's right, I'm going sailing for the first time this summer tonight. Andrea is an avid sailor (or so I'm told) and she's taking me out on her boat tonight. It's a small boat and I'm a big guy, but I think we'll manage. I was going to look at renting a Hobie 16 for the evening but it's $35 for the first hour and then $20 for each hour after that. I think I'll do it once or twice this summer but not on my first time out. I have to get a feel for the wind again.

I had some trouble at work today. For some reason the steel samples that I blasted yesterday oxidized when I cleaned them today. They were fine overnight and hexane isn't supposed to oxidize them, but it somehow happened. I think it took off a layer of lubricant that left some new metal exposed...didn't like that I guess. Oh well, it ruined the metal and I don't have anymore until my next shipment comes in tomorrow or Monday, but it's not a big deal. The boss said not to worry and concentrate on pressing. Tomorrow I get trained on the big press downstairs. It'll crush anything, including my little fingers, so I think I'll pay attention.

Two weeks from today I'm home baby! Peace out, y'all!
